SPIDER Custom Insulation – The PREMIUM blow-in Insulation System

We use Johns Manville SPIDER Custom Insulation System, which is a fiberglass blow-in insulation. This is installed with a fast drying acrylic based adhesive, and consequently will not settle in the wall cavity. Interlocking fiver technology allows the fivers to spring and lock into cavities, which allows complete coverage, resulting in superior thermal performance and sound control.

Characteristics / Performance Advantages:

• R-Value = 4.2 per inch (2×4 wall = R-15; 2×6 wall = R-23)
• Installs practically dry, allowing drywall to be applied after a two hour period
• Will NOT settle or shrink
• Able to “spray” over-head cavities and slopes – it “sticks” in difficult areas that need greater insulation
• Fills gaps and voids where energy (heat and cold) can escape
• Fills hard to reach nooks and crannies for gap-free coverage
• Reduces heating and cooling costs
